My journey through tarot
I was 23 when I formally learned Tarot. I had just become a Reiki master, and was doing a Masters in film and video in a foreign country at the time. Somehow all of it seemed to make sense, and not long after it, I started to see and conceive a grand story and vision of Tarot, like a varied story unravelling itself. The year was 2005, and as I began to put it together, it expanded and started to progressively evolve in a system of its own.
At that stage, I had set up the elements as,
Fire – Light
Water – Sound
Air – Time
Earth – Space
Spirit – The higher Ether, or the soul’s reflection.
Then as my studies in consciousness progressed, and I amalgamated other systems in practice, an observation of both types of engendered energies increased. I started to notice the patterns and propensities of our cognition to heightened involuntary focus. Simply put, each person’s unique methods of mapping heightened awareness (or the higher witness state in the passive). This led to a method using a game-board of black and white squares and the tarot, and casting/sculpting a deep-dive into our inner recesses, awakening the archetype if you will.
Back then, I had called it ‘Full circle squared’, which alluded to our periodic clarity every so often, when ‘everything seems to come together’.
Now almost 20 years later, I recognise consolidating the various techniques of this system are in order. The seek-whence sequence kinda sign.
That’s what this area of the website is, putting it altogether. Once this area is ready, and I cover all the cards, there will be a card-reading option here with variable reads. At that stage, it will become a members area, and we’ll put together a phone-app as well.
Until then, it remains open, and the Tarot pack comes together for the first stage.
As I cover the posts, it will mostly be story form for character, arcana notwithstanding. But I will cover the traditional meaning of each card based on the Rider-Waite, Osho, Crowley and Haindl packs.
I personally use four packs, in that order, Osho, DaVinci, Crowley and Nostradamus so often I will reference them as well.
To start with, let me create a premise for Major Arcana. Thereafter when the ways to vision are clarified, the subjective approaches should read easier.

Numbers – Tarot
Digit.
Aye, digit.
Any approach to recognising the arcana would begin there. Each of the stations of the Major Arcana, which traditionally is spirit, exist through the ether. The higher principles of the Ether are Akash, colloquially translating to sky. Through the sky as consciousness, simply being able to see divine order around you, is a state of Akash.
Dense contrasting energies without any type of order, that would be ether in its low forms, usually signified in the Tarot as a card showing up reversed. (realm of the reversed, I used to call it)
And so to cognise what each number is like, and thus what it represents, the inner purpose of every digit, and few numbers is the subjective journey each of us make.
Regardless of whether the act of cognition is aware, or subconscious.
Each of the Major Arcana is a whole in itself, whilst the Minor arcana are the composite.
There is a triple-loop in the above statement, given that by definition, a composite part identifies as whole in itself.
If the whole is a circle, then a jagged part is a composite that cannot see the whole it is contained in.
Each station of the major Arcana is self-contained as a whole, enabling the Soul to reflect itself. The healing in that is inherent, and so is the sense of belonging.
To see yourself as part of the Universe as a whole, makes you a composite view.
And thus, you act autonomy should you choose.
To see as the Universe witnessing itself, that’s an honest feeling of a self-reflection that the Major Arcana represents.
Before getting into the elements, let me clarify what I mean by ‘engendered energies’.
Upon its first divide, energy can be seen and represented as black and white. Internally it can be expressed simply as an active or passive state. Clearly distinguished at any given moment as whether you are influencing the energy of your surrounding, or whether the surroundings are influencing your inner state.
This interpersonal state each individual has with their immediate ‘spirit sleeve’, based on the approach/attitude at any given moment, those are the two primary distinctions. Whether it is the light inside you or outside you, and consequently the spillover of darkness, or unprocessed energies.
An easy marker for this, is to recognise whether the approach is objective, or subjective.
Objective always begins from the right side of our being. The subjective, from the left. As with the eyes, and the mind.
Do you identify with divine reason, or divine essence? Accordingly our counterpart at any given time is the extension of the opposite energy.
Naturally both have to be mastered in the lifetime to proceed further into their type of integration.
This can be expressed as your shadow, your higher self, your karma, the Nagual or anything that allows for that kind of consolidation. I used to call this consolidation the ‘Magician’s Envelope’, in that it allows for you to make a narrative through the soul.
A part of you that’s always aware, whether or not you are conscious of it. And always attuned to flow of energies around you.
In the act of the narrative, however, in a very Descartian manner, when you can observe with a sense of cognition, all choices, information and experiences layer from that self-reflection. Allowing you to then move between the two different types of engendered energies.
That is the origin, or the destination, depending what side of the energy you are viewing from.
And the first complete step taken after the magic mirror of the Fool.
In the context of the Fool, it looks like choice between the two types of Arcana’s.
From the Arcana’s point of view, it depends on which way you approach it.
That is the Ether and the Akash.
